Teen's $12,000 bike lost during flight found with AirTag, airlines refuse assistance

A 16-year-old cyclist lost his $12,000 bike during a flight from Europe and used an Apple AirTag to locate it at Brussels Airport. However, neither United nor Brussels Airlines were helpful in retrieving the bike until the family reached out to Brussels Airport directly. A customer care agent named Ella Dollinschi located the bike using the AirTag and sent it back to the cyclist's home in South Carolina. United Airlines apologized for the delay and provided travel credits, while Brussels Airlines did not respond to a request for comment.
