Atlanta Retains Title as World's Busiest Airport.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) has been named the world's busiest airport for 2022, with around 93.7 million passengers passing through, a 23.8% increase from 2021. U.S. airports dominated the rankings, with Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Denver International Airport (DEN) taking second and third place, respectively. However, international airports gained ground in 2022, accounting for half of the top 10. The recovery in international travel has largely lagged behind domestic travel due to the pandemic.
