Airbnb is launching a new offering called Airbnb Rooms, which allows guests to rent a single room in the same house or apartment as their host at an average price of $67 per night. The move is a nod to Airbnb's beginnings and a recognition that renting an entire house is too expensive for many travelers, especially younger ones. The company is also making changes to its platform to address issues with high cleaning fees and onerous checkout tasks. CEO Brian Chesky believes the new offering will be especially popular with the next generation of travelers who want to pay less than $100 per night.
