United Airlines to Launch Electric Air Taxi Service in Chicago by 2025.

United Airlines and Archer Aviation plan to launch a flying taxi service in Chicago in 2025, using Archer's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to transport passengers between O'Hare International Airport and downtown Vertiport Chicago. The service will be the first air taxi route in the city and aims to offer a more sustainable, convenient, and cost-effective mode of transportation. The eVTOL aircraft will be able to carry up to four passengers at a time, transporting them as far as 100 miles at speeds as fast as 150 miles per hour. The estimated fare for the trip from Vertiport to O'Hare is about $100.
