NJ TRANSIT Overcomes Train Stuck Near Maplewood, Returns to Smooth Operations

NJ TRANSIT service on the Morris and Essex line and Gladstone branch was suspended after two trains got stuck near Maplewood due to overhead wire issues. Approximately 600 passengers were walked to the Maplewood station and put on buses. Service has since resumed with limited service in both directions. Commuters experienced major disruptions and had their rail tickets and passes cross honored by NJ TRANSIT bus and private carriers.
