"New York City Implements Parking Meter Rate Hikes Across Manhattan"

Parking meter rates in New York City are increasing, with the new rates going into effect in Manhattan on Monday and in Queens on October 27. The highest increase will be seen in Midtown and Lower Manhattan, where the hourly parking rate will be $5.50, up from $4.50, and the second hour of parking will cost $9, up from $7.50. The rate hikes will also affect Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Staten Island in November.
