14-Year-Old Fatally Struck While Subway Surfing in Brooklyn

A 14-year-old boy was killed subway surfing in Brooklyn, with the aftermath captured in heart-rending Post images, including a sneaker lying beneath the elevated tracks and blood splatter on the street. The dangerous stunt has become increasingly common as teens seek to emulate daredevil behavior shared on social media. MTA statistics show a sharp increase in reports of people riding outside of trains, prompting MTA president Richard Davey to implore parents and teachers to speak with their children and students about the lethal consequences of subway surfing.
