Woman tracks lost AirPods to airport worker's home

A woman left her Apple AirPods on a plane and tracked them down to an airport worker's home with the help of a detective at San Mateo police force. The worker claimed that he received the headphones from a cleaner who denied knowledge of the situation. The AirPods were returned to the owner 12 days later, but they were damaged. United Airlines compensated the owner with $271 and 5,000 air miles. The airline confirmed that the worker was employed by a vendor and not the airline.
