Wendy's experiments with underground robot delivery for mobile orders.

Wendy's is partnering with Pipedream, a hyperlogistics company, to test an underground robot delivery system that will bring digital orders to designated parking spots in seconds. The fully electric underground system will connect the Wendy's kitchen to an instant pickup portal outside of the restaurant, where autonomous robots will carry the orders through an underground delivery system to car-side pickup portals. The system is expected to streamline digital order pick-up points and improve speed of service and accuracy for mobile orders.
