Nintendo's Switch sales soar, fueled by Mario movie and Zelda game

Nintendo reported better-than-expected sales and profit for its fiscal second quarter, driven by the success of the "Super Mario Bros. Movie" and the flagship Zelda game. The company's revenue fell 4% YoY, but its net profit jumped 17.7% for the six-month period. Nintendo raised its full-year forecasts, citing increased sales in its video game business and the depreciation of the Japanese yen. Despite concerns of the Nintendo Switch reaching its peak, the company sold 6.84 million consoles in the April to September period and maintained its forecast of selling 15 million units in the current fiscal year.
