Netflix Implements Paid Sharing and Password Crackdown in US and UK

Netflix has revealed the details of its password sharing crackdown in the US, which will cost extra for those who want to share their account with people outside their household. Subscribers on the Standard plan can add one extra member for $7.99 per month, while those on the Premium plan can add up to two extra members for the same price each. The cheapest plans don't have the option to add extra members. Netflix subscribers who share the service outside their household will receive an email about the company's password sharing policies. The crackdown was originally supposed to launch in the US at the beginning of this year but was pushed back to April.
