Elon Musk's Warning and CEO's Return: Unanswered Questions Scare OpenAI Chief Scientist

Elon Musk and other tech elites are curious about what scared OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever enough to want to fire CEO Sam Altman. The board of OpenAI recently fired Altman but has since been revamped and Altman reinstated. OpenAI's mission is to develop artificial general intelligence (AGI) for the benefit of humanity. Reuters reported that several OpenAI researchers warned the board of a new AI project called Q* that could threaten humanity. Musk, who has long warned of the dangers of AI, left OpenAI on a sour note and has criticized its transformation into a "closed source, maximum-profit company effectively controlled by Microsoft."
