Amazon's Project Kuiper: Successful Satellite Tests Pave the Way for Production

Amazon has announced that its prototype internet satellites for Project Kuiper have successfully completed operations and testing, validating all systems and use-cases. The company plans to invest over $10 billion to build a network of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit to provide high-speed internet access globally. With testing complete, Amazon aims to begin production of the first Kuiper satellites in December and launch them in the latter part of the first half of 2024. Specifics regarding broadband speeds were not disclosed, but the experience was described as operating like cable or fiber.
