The original listing for the camera in question may no longer be online, but identical products can still be found on Amazon's UK website. Additionally, Amazon allows vendors to sell various everyday items that double as hidden cameras. A US judge recently ruled that Amazon cannot dismiss the lawsuit, stating that the company actively contributed to the harm by failing to properly inspect the camera and promoting it despite knowing its potential for misuse. The judge allowed the plaintiff's claims of negligence, product liability, torts of outrage, and civil conspiracy to proceed.
