Acclaimed author Michael Lewis revealed in an interview with 60 Minutes that he almost quit writing after the tragic death of his 19-year-old daughter in a car accident. Initially fearing that the trauma would affect his ability to find joy in writing, Lewis eventually found solace in his work and recently released a new book on the story of Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of cryptocurrency exchange FTX. Despite the different circumstances, Lewis empathized with Bankman-Fried's parents, who are also experiencing the loss of a child. Lewis dedicated his latest book to his late daughter, describing her as an incredibly brave person who made sacrifices for a future she never got to see.
