"BAE Systems' Innovations and Contracts for US Army's Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicles"

BAE Systems demonstrated its ExMEP capability, a universal top plate design that allows for the rapid integration of various turrets onto the U.S. Army's Armored Multipurpose Vehicle (AMPV) at the Global Force Symposium. The flexible top plate, based on a study of turrets worldwide, enables the AMPV to accept over 30 different sized turrets, expanding its mission capabilities beyond the five planned variants. The company has successfully integrated a 30mm unmanned turret and a counter-unmanned aircraft system turret onto the AMPV, with further testing planned for a 120mm unmanned turreted mortar capability. This capability not only benefits the U.S. Army but also offers options for potential foreign customers with specific requirements.
