Las Vegas Hospitality Workers Vote to Strike at Top Resorts

Hospitality workers in Las Vegas, represented by Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and Bartenders Union Local 165, have voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike against major resorts along the Strip. The vote, approved by 95 percent of participants, is a crucial step towards a potential walkout as workers demand higher wages, increased safety protections, and stronger recall rights. Contracts for approximately 40,000 workers at MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts expired on September 15, and negotiations continue next week.
