USCIS Hits H-1B Cap for FY 2024

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has reached the congressionally mandated cap for fiscal year 2024, receiving enough petitions to fill the 65,000 H-1B visa regular cap and the 20,000 H-1B visa U.S. advanced degree exemption. Non-selection notices will be sent to registrants who were not chosen, while exemptions for certain categories of H-1B petitions will still be accepted and processed. The H-1B program allows U.S. businesses to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations.
