NC Attorney General Josh Stein files lawsuit against HCA Healthcare for quality issues at Mission Health

North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein has announced a lawsuit against HCA Healthcare for allegedly failing to comply with the Asset Purchase Agreement it executed when it purchased Mission Health System in 2019. Stein claims that HCA is not providing the quality and consistent emergency and cancer care it committed to deliver. The lawsuit seeks to restore emergency and trauma services and oncology services to the level provided by Mission Hospital before HCA took over. HCA Healthcare denies the allegations and intends to vigorously defend the lawsuit.
