Henry Ford and Ascension Michigan Merge to Form $10.5 Billion Healthcare System

Henry Ford Health has announced a joint venture with Ascension Michigan and Genesys health care facilities to create a $10.5 billion health system based in Detroit. The venture aims to expand healthcare services and deliver innovations in care to more people and communities across the state. The agreement, which includes no exchange of cash, must undergo regulatory review and is expected to be completed by summer. The new organization will be led by Robert Riney and will retain Henry Ford Health's name and branding, while the Catholic identity of Ascension Michigan facilities will remain for now.
