Ajinomoto expands recall to 37 million pounds of frozen foods over glass contamination risk

Ajinomoto Foods North America expanded a recall to about 37 million pounds of frozen chicken and pork products under Ajinomoto, Kroger (Fred Meyer), Ling Ling, Tai Pei and Trader Joe’s brands due to possible glass contamination linked to a carrot ingredient. Products with best-by dates from Feb 28, 2026 to Aug 19, 2027 and establishment numbers P-18356, P-18356B, or P-47971 were shipped nationwide (some to Canada and Mexico). No injuries have been reported; consumers should discard recalled items or return them to the point of purchase.
