Okta Faces Multiple Data Breaches, Exposing Employee Information

Okta, an identity and authentication management provider, has experienced another data breach, this time through a third-party vendor. Hackers gained access to Rightway Healthcare's network, a service used by Okta, and stole personal information for 5,000 Okta employees. The breach occurred in late September, but Okta only disclosed it three weeks later. The compromised data included names, Social Security numbers, and health insurance plan numbers. Okta has launched an investigation and stated that no customer data was impacted. This breach follows a recent incident where hackers compromised Okta's customer support system and gained control of customers' internal administration accounts.
