Fortune Crypto 40 has released a benchmark ranking the top 40 crypto firms across eight categories, with Ethereum Foundation topping the Protocols category followed by Bitcoin. The DeFi category was dominated by Ethereum-based applications, with Uniswap Labs, Lido, MakerDAO, Aave, and Curve taking the top five spots. The benchmark used empirical metrics and surveys of over 200 financial executives to determine the rankings, which Fortune claims are "impartial and rigorous."
