"Kia Stolen 3 Times Despite Security Upgrade, Owner Claims"

A woman in Milwaukee has had her Kia stolen three times despite installing a security upgrade meant to prevent theft. The thieves were caught on a doorbell camera making a quick escape, and the car was found damaged. The frustrated owner had installed an anti-theft software upgrade from Kia, but it was ineffective as the thieves were able to start the car with a USB cord. Milwaukee police reported 308 vehicle thefts so far in 2024, with 64 of them being Kias.
