Albuquerque Motel Accused of Ignoring Sex Trafficking Victims

A woman, referred to as "Jane Doe," is suing Motel 6 in Albuquerque for allegedly ignoring her cries for help as she was repeatedly raped and held against her will by her trafficker and other men in March 2019. The lawsuit claims that the motel staff turned a blind eye to her visible bruises and ignored her when she mouthed "Help Me" to them. The plaintiff's attorney says that the motel can be held liable for damages caused by human trafficking, and this isn't the first time the motel has faced such a lawsuit.
