Major retailers halt sales of potentially dangerous water beads for kids

Amazon, Walmart, and Target have stopped selling certain water beads after federal safety regulators warned that they pose serious safety risks, including choking and intestinal obstruction hazards if swallowed. The retailers have changed their policies and will no longer sell water beads marketed to children. The Consumer Product Safety Commission received reports of children suffering injuries or death after ingesting the product.
