"Fire Hazard: BISSELL Recalls Thousands of Vacuum Cleaners"

Thousands of BISSELL Multi Reach Hand and Floor Vacuum Cleaners have been recalled in the U.S. and Canada due to a fire hazard caused by the vacuum battery pack overheating and smoking. There have been 17 reports of smoking and burning odors, with six incidents of battery pack fires resulting in property damage and minor burn injuries. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products, contact BISSELL for battery depletion instructions, and dispose of the lithium-ion batteries properly. Replacement vacuums are available for those affected.
