"Honda Explores $14 Billion EV Production Plan in Canada"

Honda is reportedly considering a nearly $14 billion project to build an electric vehicle plant in Canada, potentially including in-house production of batteries, marking one of the company's largest investments. The Japanese automaker has been slow to increase sales of electric vehicles, with battery-powered vehicles accounting for less than 0.5% of its worldwide sales. The potential plant could start production as soon as 2028, and Honda is looking at multiple sites, including one next to an existing automobile factory in Ontario. This comes as Honda already has plans to begin production and sales of EVs in North America in 2026, based on its new Honda e:Architecture.
