Lionsgate Acquires eOne from Hasbro in $500M Deal

Lionsgate has finalized a deal to acquire Entertainment One's (eOne) TV and film operations from Hasbro for approximately $500 million. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The sale includes a talented team of employees, a content library of nearly 6,500 titles, active productions for non-Hasbro owned IP, and the eOne unscripted business. Hasbro will continue to focus on developing and producing entertainment based on its own brands, while popular IPs like "Peppa Pig" and "Transformers" will receive significant support in film, TV, animation, and digital shorts.
