Amazon Stands Firm on Return-to-Office Mandate Despite Protests from Remote Workers

Amazon employees staged a protest against the company's return-to-office mandate, but the tech giant seems unfazed. Amazon spokesperson Brad Glasser said that since the mandate went into effect, "there's more energy, collaboration, and connections happening." CEO Andy Jassy had sent a memo in February saying remote workers should return to the office on May 1. Other CEOs, including those at Disney, Starbucks, and News Corp, have also demanded employees return to the office. Despite this, many office blocks across the country remain partially empty, and remote workers argue that working from home is just as productive.
