Tragic Suicide of San Antonio Airport Worker Ingested Into Plane Engine

A ground worker at San Antonio International Airport, David Renner, died by suicide after being sucked into the engine of a Delta Air Lines operated Airbus A319 aircraft. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's office determined that Renner died from blunt and sharp-force injuries. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will not investigate the incident as there were no operational safety issues. Renner was employed by Unifi Aviation, a ground-handling company managing Delta flights at the airport. Delta expressed their condolences and support for Renner's family.
