Tesla's Autopilot Recall: Updates and Fixes for 2 Million Vehicles on US Roads

Tesla is updating its Autopilot system in response to a recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), affecting over 2 million vehicles. The update includes enhanced controls and alerts for Autosteer engagement, more prominent visual alerts, simplified Autosteer engagement, enhanced checks and limiting use, and the possibility of temporary suspension for drivers who repeatedly fail to maintain continuous driving responsibility. Tesla's Dojo supercomputer project, crucial for enhancing self-driving capabilities, has experienced a leadership shakeup with the departure of Ganesh Venkataramanan and the appointment of Peter Bannon. The Dojo project aims to reach a computational capability of 100 exaflops by October 2024. Additionally, Tesla's upcoming Holiday Update will introduce features such as improved park assist with enhanced visualizations, customizable lock sounds, rear seat gaming, and new games like Castle Doombad.
