Mercedes-Benz unveils luxury electric van lineup for cargo, passengers, and campers.

Mercedes-Benz Vans has announced a new scalable electric vehicle architecture, called Van.EA, which will be launched in 2026. The platform will support a wide range of van applications, from midsize luxury vans to full-size cargo and camper vans. The architecture will consist of three main parts, with a common axle and electric drive unit shared across all Van.EA vehicles. The middle section will be the most flexible, with different lengths and battery sizes depending on the type of van. Mercedes-Benz will use the midsize version of this architecture for luxury-minded vans designed for families or high-end shuttles in the US. The platform will also include purpose-built camper vans.
