Honda recalls over 2.5 million US vehicles due to fire risk and defective parts.

Honda Motor's American unit is recalling over 2.5 million vehicles in the United States due to the risk of fuel pump failure, which can cause engine stalling while driving and increase the likelihood of a crash. The recall includes popular models such as the Honda Accord, Civic, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, and some Acura models. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated that dealers will replace the fuel pump module free of charge, and owner notification letters are expected to be sent by February next year. This recall comes after the NHTSA issued a separate recall for approximately 106,030 CR-V hybrid vehicles due to the risk of fire or injury caused by an overheated battery cable or short circuit.
