Ford Halts Shipments of 2024 F-150 Lightning EVs

Ford has paused shipments of the 2024 model year F-150 Lightning electric pickup to conduct quality checks for an unspecified issue, which began on Feb. 9. The company also announced a reduction in production levels and shifts at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, affecting about 1,400 workers. Ford did not specify when it expects to resume shipments but indicated that it will ramp up shipments of the newly designed gas-powered 2024 model F-150 pickups in the coming weeks.
