BMW Unveils 2024 5 Series and i5 in Digital World Premiere

BMW is set to debut its eighth-generation 5 Series, codenamed "G60," with both combustion engines and electric drivetrains on the same platform. The new i5 will be available as an M Performance model with close to 600 horsepower, while a lesser i5 eDrive40 with a single motor and rear-wheel drive has also been announced. The exterior design will be evolutionary, while the cabin will feature a dual-screen layout and iDrive 8.5. The sedan will debut today, with the Touring likely to follow soon, and an i5 wagon set to go on sale in 2024.
