Filming for the fifth and final season of "Stranger Things" has been paused due to the ongoing writers' strike. Co-creators and co-showrunners, the Duffer brothers, tweeted a statement expressing their hope for a fair deal to be reached soon so they can resume production with their cast and crew. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) went on strike on May 2 to seek better compensation and other concessions from studios and streaming companies.
