Bartlett and Wolfchase areas in Memphis were hit hard by severe weather, leaving tens of thousands without power due to fallen power lines, branches, and tree trunks. Bartlett City Schools were closed, and there is a chance of a boil-water advisory for northeastern Shelby County due to low water pressure. MLGW CEO Doug McGowen said the storm ranked as the sixth-worst in Memphis history in terms of the number of utility customers affected. It is unclear how long it will take to have power fully restored to the area.
