'Hocus Pocus' Director Confirms Allison's Witchy Secret
Director Kenny Ortega acknowledges the fan theory that Vinessa Shaw's character, Allison, in the movie 'Hocus Pocus' might actually be a witch. Ortega felt that Shaw's portrayal had a hint of sorcery and even considered a spinoff project centered around her character. Although the spinoff didn't materialize, Ortega noticed subtle indications of Allison's powers in the script and found her performance bewitching. Shaw herself confirmed that the jewelry and costuming for Allison hinted at elements of witchcraft. The third film in the 'Hocus Pocus' series is currently in development, which may shed light on the origins of the Sanderson Sisters.
