
Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting Shuts Down Highway 41 in Wisconsin
A suspect with a gun was shot and killed by a North Fond du Lac police officer after fleeing a traffic stop and approaching law enforcement on Interstate 41 in Winnebago County, Wisconsin. The officer was unharmed, and the suspect, who has not been identified, died at the scene despite life-saving measures. The officer has been placed on administrative leave, and the state Dept. of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation into the incident, which resulted in the closure of I-41 for several hours.
