Tragic Death of Livermore Winery Owner in Car Crash
Mitchell Katz, the owner of Mitchell Katz Winery in Livermore, California, died in a car crash while changing lanes. The crash occurred when a black Subaru collided with Katz's white GMC SUV on East Avenue. The driver of the Subaru, a man in his 20s, is cooperating with the police investigation. Toxicology test results are pending. Katz's sons expressed their grief in a Facebook post and requested privacy. Katz founded the winery in 1998.
