
Chip Taylor, Creator of Wild Thing and Angel of the Morning, Dies at 86
Chip Taylor, the Yonkers-born songwriter behind Wild Thing for the Troggs and Angel of the Morning, died at 86 after a six-decade career that included a gambling hiatus and a later revival with Train Wreck Records; a 2016 Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and brother of actor Jon Voight, he wrote for numerous artists and leaves a wife, daughters and five grandchildren.
