Idaho Prison Gang Members Face Charges for Hospital Ambush and Escape
Two men, identified as members of a white supremacist prison gang, appeared in court in Boise, Idaho, facing charges related to a hospital ambush and escape that left three correctional officers injured. Skylar Meade, the escaped inmate, and Nicholas Umphenour, a former inmate, are also suspected of two killings in northern Idaho. The arraignment focused on felony escape charges and additional counts of aggravated battery on an officer. Prosecutors allege that Umphenour shot at correctional officers to help Meade escape, leading to serious injuries. Both men were deemed a danger to the community and flight risks, and their bond was set at $2 million.
