A 12-year-old boy, Daniel L. Beiler, was killed by a falling tree in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The incident happened around 4 p.m. on Sawmill Road in Providence Township and is believed to be weather-related since storms were sweeping across the area during that time. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the accidental death of the boy.

Repairing the broken windows of the 555 California St. high-rise in San Francisco could take days as workers wait for the blustery conditions to subside. The area near the building was under a shelter-in-place order until late Tuesday after glass fell from the high-rise. The two damaged windows will be replaced in the coming days when the wind dies down. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the damage is suspected to be weather-related. Supervisor Aaron Peskin called for an investigation to determine if the window failure was an isolated event or part of a larger systemic problem.
