Capcom has added microtransactions to the Resident Evil 4 remake, allowing players to pay extra for Exclusive Upgrade Tickets to speed up the weapon upgrade process. Each ticket costs $2.99 / £2.49, and players can buy multipacks at a discount. The game's free Mercenaries mode DLC has also been released, which consists of stages where players have to kill as many enemies as possible within a time limit. The Resident Evil 4 remake has sold 4 million copies in its first two weeks.
