Georgia Communities Mourn Fallen Soldiers Killed in Drone Attack
Army Sergeant Kennedy Sanders, who was killed in a drone attack in Jordan, was laid to rest in Waycross, Georgia. Her funeral service was attended by family, friends, and community members, who remembered her as lovable and full of life. A section of Eads Street will be renamed in her honor, and June 30 will be known as “Kennedy L. Sanders Day.” Loved ones paid their final respects as her casket was draped in the American flag and taken to the cemetery, with people lining the streets to show their support. Sanders leaves behind a legacy of enjoying life and smiling always.
