
"Pinellas Sheriff's Office Probes Alligator-Related Death in Largo"
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation after a body was found in a waterway in unincorporated Largo, Florida. A 13-foot, 8.5-inch alligator was "humanely killed" and removed from the scene by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The PCSO Dive Team recovered the remains of an adult from the water. The area where the body and alligator were found is near Ridgecrest Park. The Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and time of death.
