Storm wreaks havoc on coastal businesses
Waterfront restaurants in Westerly, Rhode Island, and Westport, Massachusetts, were damaged by heavy rain and strong winds during a recent storm. The Windjammer Surf Bar in Westerly experienced significant damage, with debris pushed into the business and boards snapped off the doors. The owners are determined to rebuild, despite the setback. At Westport Sea Farm, the restaurant and patio were flooded, and the oyster farms will be checked once the storm passes. Cleanup efforts are underway, and the business plans to open as scheduled for holiday pre-order pickup.
