Watertown's Water Crisis: Bottled Water Distribution Ends, Boil Water Order Remains

Watertown, New York, will no longer distribute free bottled water after 5 p.m. on Friday as residents can now boil their tap water. The city is urging residents to conserve water and boil tap water before using it for drinking, cooking, and other purposes. The water distribution sites at Watertown High School and Northland Plaza have already ceased operations, while the Fairgrounds site will continue to provide bulk potable water until 5 p.m. on Friday and then from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. New Hope Baptist Church will also be giving away bottled water. The boil water advisory remains in effect until further notice.
