'Babylon 5: The Road Home' Animated Film Confirms Returning Voice Cast and Summer Release.

Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski has written and executive produced a new animated film, Babylon 5: The Road Home, which will continue the story of the 1990s sci-fi series. 'Babylon 5' to be Reinvented as Animated Movie: Creator J. Michael Straczynski Announces

J. Michael Straczynski, the creator of the sci-fi series "Babylon 5," has announced that an animated movie based on the show is in the works from Warner Bros. Animation and WB Home Entertainment. The film is already finished and will be a love letter to the fans, according to Straczynski. The original "Babylon 5" series ran for five seasons and won numerous awards. The show is set on a space station in neutral space and follows the lives of travelers, smugglers, corporate explorers, and alien diplomats. Straczynski's other work includes the Netflix series "Sense8" and feature writing credits for "Changeling" and "World War Z."
